LOVE BREATH DEATH REBIRTH

I am involved in the 30 day “Ultimate Blog Challenge” for the month of October! The theme of the 30 days is Love, Breath, Death and Rebirth.

My husband of 35 years died of CV19 and I was present for his last breath. The word coming to me now is Cherish. Cherish the ones you love and even those you don’t think you love. Never take them for granted. Never assume they will be with you, tomorrow. This is one time the word “never” can be used with impunity. Yet when we fail in this endeavor to cherish and love without reservation, forgiveness of yourself is the way we crack open a loving heart.

Love everyone, as Ram Dass’ guru Neem Karoli Baba said. Love yourself without conditions. Live in the moment, knowing all human imperfections are perfect reflections of all the ways we can accept ourselves and all the chaos in the world, right now. Radical acceptance takes work- and play. As Justice Ginsburg said: “ Don’t be distracted by emotions like anger, envy, resentment. These just zap energy and waste time.”

I would add, allow your life to be exactly as it is and strive to be the architect of a full embodiment of Joy.
