SOLAR POWER

February 3, 2021

For many years, I have wanted to convert my home to solar energy. Now with Joe Biden in office, the tax incentives and opportunities to save on energy costs just got more attractive. Plus we all want to do our part to prevent the sixth extinction of the human race. Right?

Even though I am trying my best to slow down, meditate three times a day, take long walks every day with Pearl in conjunction with a year-long Meditation Retreat with Will Johnson, all of a sudden I am getting a new roof and solar panels. As far as the solar construction goes, my out-of-pocket expense is zero. Home owner insurance pays for the roof. The solar company pays the first year of my solar expense, because I am a nurse, and nurses are on the front lines of care during CV19. The company wanted to honor my service.

This is all a bit overwhelming. Is this a gift from Tomaso, the climate activist, the 3 AM researcher on how to save the planet when he couldn’t sleep? I feel his nod of approval as all of these fortuitous occurrences keep happening. For instance, I woke up the last two mornings to discover my driveway was plowed by a mysterious person during the three day nor’easter Orlena. The year long spiritual retreat is a dream come true. My daily routine makes me jubilant every single moment. Writing this blog reveals layers of insight in the simple life I have chosen for every day existence.

As A Course In Miracles says, everyone we meet we are supposed to meet. The solar sales person this evening was a perfect example. He used to be an actor and went to live in Los Angeles to get his big break. Now he is selling solar panels employed by a company who treats him well. Synchronistically, Tomaso tried to make it in New York as an actor years ago. And brother Delaney was an actor in the local hometown stage, moved to Norfolk, and continued to act and write plays to adoring audiences.

It is meant to be. OM
