As investigative journalists uncover more details about the horrifying events of the January 6, 2021 right wing attack on our democracy, tRump remains in office.

The entire tRump presidency has been a siege on our lives (re mishandling of the CV19 pandemic) on our democracy (check out tRump’s hate filled rallies), and the rise of terrorism from tRump’s rank and file. The terrorism of today in America is not unlike Isis. They have created cells all across America with the intent to disenfranchise votes of black and brown people and kill them in the process. The difference is, the terrorism starts with POTUS, himself.

In a brief conversation with Will Johnson whom is conducting a year long spiritual retreat, and thankfully, I am joining the sangha of spiritual seekers, we identified a word to describe what we are doing together: protection.

In order to protect ourselves from this unbridled chaos unleashed in America, we need a practice to focus our energies. Or several. As many as it takes. (Not too many or your focus will be scattered and dissipated.

Retreat, my special word for 2021, is my focus in the moments to come, the moments of the here and now. The anniversary of Tomaso’s death is in exactly one month. I have been in semi seclusion for almost a year. Now I look forward to another full year of retreat and deep transformation. I’ve organized systems that anything I need can be delivered to my door. My girl Pearl and I can walk and meditate in the park adjacent to my home, and pretend we are on vacation, which in effect, we are. The homeopathic remedy for CV19 is working in every cell in my body. It is a protocol that takes almost a year to complete.

My advice for you today: plan your spiritual practice as a way to protect yourself from the carnage released from the Pandora box of fascism. Protect yourself by calling in the angels and higher guides for added safety and above all, love yourself. OM
