good trouble

After four years of terror under the administration of Donald J Trump, the cruelty has ended from the White House and tRump social media accounts. Q Anon‘s can’t believe the truth. One Q Anon told a friend a day before the inauguration that 280,000 Chinese troops had just marched across the Canadian/US border, and were headed to Washington DC to help tRump and the Pentagon enact martial law by assassinating Joe Biden. This person is supposedly an intelligent woman, college educated, at least.

Another Q Anon believes tRump put on a Biden mask to receive the oath of office. Why on earth would tRump reverse all of the executive decisions he made the last four years? His conspirators always end up citing the Rothchild family for all America’s ills.

The Inaugural events of January 20, 2021 were enough to release the grip tRump had on our psyches. If we have a vision of how to further strengthen our democracy, we can confidently share and nonviolently appeal to the higher good of all involved.

The storming of the US Capitol January 6, 2021 is a clear reason to impeach and indict DJT. Never has there been a greater reason. No further explanation is needed.

As John Lewis famously said, Good Trouble is what we, in a faltering democracy, must possess. We also need the courage to be “holy mischief makers,” as Carolyn Myss calls it. We confront the Q Anon‘s and right wing white supremacists with love and courage, because it is possibly dangerous to meet them on the same ground on which they stand. Guns and pure hate come to mind. And Love is the only answer.

As we go forth into the world each day, we meet who we are supposed to meet. Teach only love and let the rest go. Suddenly, as our perception includes only love, we no longer see enemies poised to attack. The sun rises and sets on us all. Let us be conscious of that great gift. OM
